Happily, we discovered a fellow workaholic in An. Her first order of business was to break out the scissors (“Your color will look more vibrant if you get rid of this damage,” she explained). She then proceeded to hand-paint dozens of copper and russet threads, blending them together with a deep chocolate tint. The decadent hue and fiery glints were exactly what we’d requested: all work, and just the right amount of play.
